Those are the only adult men on bicycles on the road that don't give me the urge to swerve into them.

Otherwise, fuck cyclists.

Speaking of adult men. I question the accuracy of the title. Those two in front might be the only adult men. Look how young that third dude looks. Plus safety bicycles into war? And virtually nothing packed.

I think this is a Hitler Youth activity. Cycle backpacking is the kind of cool shit they got to do. Scouting peaked in the 1930s.

If Germany had not gone east into Russia during the coldest winter in 80 years, and rather focused on the issues at hand, we would all be better for it. Russia is where he lost. He needed to focus on Western Europe and leave the east to Paton, as Paton wanted to go into Russia.

The time period in which Patton wanted to go into Russia was at the very close of the war. If by your theory Germany fell because of going into Russia, and therefore Germany didn't go into Russia, then there would have been no close of the war in which Patton would want to go into Russia and Russia wouldn't even be a member of any war.

You’re right, the two did not coincide. Patrons lust for Russia wasn’t known during the war. But still, Hitler should have stayed in the west.

It makes no sense to try to stretch your military's logistics capabilities so far away from home.

Hitler should have left the far away Soviets alone and instead slowly expanded Germany.

Agreed that they shouldn't have pushed so far but most don't even realize, the Russians had gathered massive forces and were preparing to invade Europe. That's why Hitler struck first. If not for that, all of Europe would have been under Russian control instead of just East Germany, etc.

It seems easy to criticize a finished work, but you weren't there to do it.
USSR would never allow the time for slow expansion you suggest.

And also:

• Eastern Europe was starving;
• The promises of the West (of prevent USSR invasion) had already expired;
• Joseph Stalin was ready to annex East Europe into U.S.S.R.;
• All of Hitler's attempts to make peace with France and England were denied in London;
• Because of the Jews, Winston Churchill didn't want peace, but the genocide of the Germans;
• Because of the Jews, hyenas in UK and USA were already gossiping about the best way to divide the carcass of Europe in the post-war period. On the hyena agenda, there was no scenario where Germany wolud still exist in the post-war. Capitalists and communists united wanted all Germans dead.

Hitler was right.

Operation Barbarossa (1941-1942) saved a least the Westen Europe from Communism, and the East Europe from starvation. Those guys pictured above were heroes.
