Both wife and daughter are door slammers. Cracks in plaster at each interior door to cieling. I have had to replace several kitchen cabinet doors and or hinges. They just cannot bring themselves to close the door using control, they release it with a push. Refrigerator and freezer doors are opened with a flick of the wrist and allowed to bounce back off the limits of the hinges. It's what they do. Mindless. Even after being made aware of the issue countless times. Of course they apologise. Women apologise too much. Another issue I have attempted to regulate. Why in the fuck would you apologise to a waiter that mixes up your order?

You should install door closers on everything in your house. They make them for drawers too.

Yup. My wife breaks shit regularly. Recently she ripped a handle off a closet door. It wasn't meant to be turned, only pulled, but she turned it, with all her might apparently. I chalk it up to a poor understanding or mechanisms, combined with being in the habit of overcompensating for being fairly weak, by applying sudden maximum force to things that don't seem to want to move with low force, instead of gradually increasing force until it's enough.

You can conveniently replace anything she uses to stop the car.
