This happened yesterday (6/29) near Blair NE. A Union Pacific freight train stalled out on Blair Hill. Since Big Boy was heading in the same direction, it was requested to help get the freight over Blair Hill. No problemo. Not only did the Big Boy have its own train to pull, it was then hooked up to the rear of the stalled freight. And it walked right off with both. Like I posted before, modern railroad guys don't understand how powerful these steam locomotives are. The Big Boy worked hard but it was built to do this stuff everyday of its life. It got the freight over the hill, unhooked, and continued on to Cheyenne WY.
