Those Bishops who hate the dumbfuck pope running catholicism, should take turns leading anti-trans marches: If each of them do just one march, without prompting, the church can't excommunicate every bishop.

Each gets to say "oops, didn't realize I shouldn't be marching against fags, commies, and satanists."

Perfect litmus test for which are groomers too.

Theres 5,600+ bishops worldwide, and 290 in the u.s. as of 2020.

Each pulls off one march, or one spectacle, undermining the pope, and in the process dilutes the individual risk to their position.

The side benefit is this looks like a mutiny, and directly undermines the pope's authority in the process.

Others see it and join in.

Before long you have the college of cardinals afraid they're losing their grip, and the calls to replace the pope begin.

I don't think that a very large percentage of the USCCB Bishops disagree with the Pope. Perhaps a few but they are afraid to speak up in any way and reveal themselves lest they be weeded out.

To relate it to a recent incident; You might see some progress if a rogue Bishop commandeered and armored column and moved 200km onto Rome's doorstep in 12 hours. Anything short of that wold be ineffective.
