Yes, during pagan times. We’ve found sacrificed remains in bogs in Ireland (bogs preserve things pretty perfectly for millennia), while the Gauls (French) were known for human sacrifice during Roman times, a practice which the Romans themselves shunned. I’m sure there are more examples but they’re what come to mind.

Human sacrifice is very common in the USA. A large portion of the population undergoes child sacrifice.

Did you know that genital mutilation is derived from child sacrifice?

My parents still are Christian as far as I know! And no I’m not circumcised. I’m Irish, that is a bizarrely American practice. As far as I know you need some sort of religious exemption to even be allowed circumcise children here, but not sure how it works. I do have a mate who got circumcised but that was when he was 19 and was for medical reasons so I presume that’s not what you’re referring to.
