Documentary explores the late 1970’s Bronx where Jews would burn down buildings for profit (i bet many of you never heard the phrase “Jewish Lightning) and junkies and gang members would do it for revenge.
A an eloquent (but Libeal leaning) NYPD brass guy has some interesting insights into why things were the way they were in that era.
Documentary seems pretty good so far (15 minutes in). Certainly insightful and a bit of nostalgia/memorabilia.
31 Minutes in and some old Irish lady said she is moving and some nog teenager is snickering mischievously in the background.
EDIT: And of course, while she was talking to the media, they went into her apartment and robbed her blind. Probably the same little scumbags on camera were in on it.
