Also it's not difficult to make shields, ask anyone in the past few thousand years. They come in handy when people attack you.

Remember when the Proud Boys showed up at Kyle Rittenhouse's town and took pictures together holding the OK sign? Those pictures were then used by the prosecutor to paint Kyle as a racist. Had the judge not barred the use of those photos, Kyle might have been convicted.
