Going by the single picture, I think I might be retarded.
The article says that the bridge collapsed Friday night, and the train went over the bridge on Saturday morning.
Yet, the train is sitting on both sides of the bridge? Am I seeing the picture wrong? How can a train get across a collapsed bridge?
If the bridge truly collapsed (definition yet to be defined?) wouldn't every car just plunge into the river? How can some of the cars end up on both sides?
My $0.02 is that that bridge looks pretty old and probably needed rebuild anyways. I hypothesize that the middle concrete support column going down to the riverbed got washed out over time, the train was going over, the ground and the middle column gave way and the middle of the bridge collapsed.

The article says the bridge was gone on Friday, and the train arrived on Saturday...
Not sure how a train can magically appear on both sides of a washed out bridge.
The truth is probably somewhere in the middle - where a "portion" of the bridge collapsed, and then the train caused the rest to collapse.
I have no faith in (((media))) reports anymore.
