There’s been a few “experts” now that have explained that when this thing imploded it also then exploded.
That sub essentially became the cylinder in a diesel combustion because there were hydrocarbons in the air.
The entire craft wouldn’t have compressed in to the size of a baseball, it would have imploded to the point where it achieved combustion, and then exploded. Which is what would have destroyed the bodies.

If there is no internal pressure in the controller, it doesn't matter what the exterior pressure is.

But it survived the onslaught of water and sub debris coming at it.

Of course if it was just sitting in a tank of water and you raised the pressure slowly to ocean depths it wouldn't matter. But this wasn't some controlled experiment.

As long as it was filled with water it should be fine. Water diesnt compress as much so it wont shatter it. Just if there were some air inside would it have cracked.
