This submersible vehicle descended to the Challenger Deep, more than 10,916 meters. Its ballast was electro-magnetically attached steel balls that would drop in the event of power failure. It was made by boring White guys in the 1960s and not diversity hires and didn't have welded scrap metal to the hull or a gaming controller from AliExpress.
