Russia, and China have both agreed to assist in preventing this from happening (too soon for their own agreements to take over, and loss of dollar reserves to dollar implosion would harm them at this time)--is the reason for congress warning the fed to be prepared for a treasury dump. China holding dollar hostage, declaring behind the scenes if the u.s. doesn't agree to dump taiwan, they dump their treasuries at the worst possible time.

No serious risk of nuclear war at this time. Pentagon running program to drum up the apparent threat in order to bolster negotiating position in all these talks.

From what I saw in one article, at the peak of holdings, china had $1700 billion of US treasuries on the books. They're now down to ~$1000 billion. Still a hell of a lot of money. None of the speculations in the following article suggest that the weird happenings in USA are because of imminent USD $ default...
