Well when you dumbasses launch a general offensive across the entire front against a larger enemy force what the fuck did you think was going to happen?
Armchair general, I know, but they should have pushed down into Mariupol and then headed west to push the blob of Russians between Kherson and Mariupol out and into Crimea, then if the situation looks favorable tactically and logistically (especially logistically) blitz across into Crimea itself before Russian defenses can become organized again.
Ukraine seizing Crimea would be a useful bargaining chip.
Even securing the territory between Kherson and Mariupol would be good for morale and to prove that Ukraine still has some fight left in it.
The bullshit they're pulling now is just throwing men and equipment away because they believed their own bullshit about how Russia can barely equip their troops and how they're weak across the front except Bakhmut and blah blah fucking blah.
Tank is tank, rifle is rifle. Sure, a T-72 or even T-64 will get its shit rocked by an Abrams, Challenger, or Leopard, but a T-72 can knock out one of those Western models just as well under the right circumstances and thanks to APFSDS. Our tanks aren't invincible. Far from it. A lack of tactical understanding and common sense will result in a lost tonk, or many, as we can see with this shitty little offensive a fucking Hearts of Iron player could have orchestrated more effectively.
But yeah, to me it looks like Ukraine just fucked itself and hasn't realized it yet. They are throwing men and equipment away, and the West is taking notice. Even with how stupid the western governments are, they aren't going to keep throwing very expensive equipment into a black hole. They need that stuff for suppressing their own people or dealing with China/Iran/etc.
Then there's the fact that the western populace is seeing this failed offensive as well and they may turn against Ukraine. "We're sending them all my tax dollars just for them to fucking waste it? What gives?" and off we go.
Russia certainly isn't the titan everyone previously believed it to be, militarily, but if you think they can't fuck someone up for making stupid mistakes you'd be hella wrong. Even the damn Iraqi Army could have seriously fucked up Coalition troops if we were acting stupid and didn't use our assets correctly back in the day.
But the Coalition had excellent planning and utilized its assets to full effect. Unlike the Ukrainians today. I understand they're at war in their own backyard and all, but they should have prepared more and especially rethought the dumbass fucking idea of spreading their attack across a wide front rather than a concentrated push into one area, ideally the south like I mentioned earlier, because it would have overwhelmed the 1st line defenders, the rear guard would have little time to react, and reinforcements would take significant time to get down there and form a front to cut off the offensive units Ukraine was utilizing.
But I'm ranting now...
The dumbasses get what they deserve. Just a shame that grunts are the ones that have to pay for the incompetence of a fucking jew and his pets with flashy decor LARPing as generals.
