Houses out here in Pinellas typically are sold within a week, many times cash offers well above market price from out of state investment groups with local buying agents.
We still get a knock on our door- ignoring the no solicitation signs- at least monthly from people who represent this property group or that investment firm saying they are buying in the area above market value. The real estate agents that are affiliated with them are just as aggressive.
It is damned near impossible for a family to buy what they want here unless they have an in with the seller or their agent…
