Depends on where you snorkel, but the danger is typically no greater than just being in the water. You're right about the rest though, and avoid motorcycles!
There are many more people riding motorcycles than people skydiving, scuba diving and spelunking combined, they spend many more hours riding than any of those activities. Not a 1:1 comparison. In the same vein, more people die in car accidents than any of those activities.
I would be interested in seeing the stats for moto vs skydiving. I would be willing to bet that, skydiving is actually pretty safe, at least safer than one would expect. Just the standard shit, not the squirrel and stunt variety. Consider all the military folks that do it day in and day out. Just my $.02 also, i have no skin in this game either way. I really actually respect the adrenalin junkies for whatever flavor of risk they partake in. My problem with the op is that the risk also turned a grvesite into a tourist attraction. I frankly hope their shit got crushed after all systems failed and they descended to crush depth. Also, I own a motorcycle, several if you count dirtbikes. Broke my back on a trail riding an atv a few years back. My good friend can no longer raise his left arm above his belly button from wrecking his gsxr.
Again, compare time invested vs accidents/fatalities. The number of hours spent skydiving is a tiny fraction compared to the millions of hours of motorcycle riding that take place every year.
Airborne units don’t do that many jumps either because they hit the ground faster while carrying weight. It compresses soft tissue and airborne soldiers lose at least an inch off their height in just a few years. To say nothing of the guys whose feet crumble and get medboarded out. Countless knee replacements.
A car is almost required to operate in most cities anymore. Even if it isn't a necessity, not having one is a negative impact on ones life. It's a lot harder to live w/o a car and therefore most deem it an acceptable risk. There's a difference between a car and the completely voluntary unneeded and dangerous motorcycle. If the bike is an acceptable risk to you then that's cool. Many feel the same. But there's a vast difference.
Only a coward downvotes to a difference in opinion. There is no difference. You live in a country full of violent niggers. Life is dangerous. Even being born is dangerous. I don't trust people so scared about things like riding a motorcycle. Generally those people would be the first to rat you out and run from battle. Think about that.
It's one life; one chance to test your limits and do crazy shit. Would you rather your one shot be short and exciting or a slow, plodding dance to the grave? I'd rather die middle aged, having ticked off every item on a long bucket list, than endure clown world as a geriatric. Besides that, there are infinite ways you could die tomorrow that would be entirely out of your control.
Grab fate by the balls and take some calculated risks. Have fun! Fuck the rat race.
Scuba diving is not an adrenaline sport - quite the opposite, it's super chill and relaxing and not dangerous unless you're going crazy deep, and going deep makes for a shit (fuck all to see) and short dive also (the deeper you go the quicker the air goes)
I wanted to see what kind of pilot they had on that sub. Turns out, it's not really a proper submarine at all, but rather a sort of manned ROV. There's no one onboard the vessel piloting it. Instead, the craft takes directional orders from text message transmissions. Yeah, I can't see any terrifying inherent flaws in that system. Who the hell would pay nearly the cost of a decent single family dwelling to put themselves in mortal peril? And not even have a captain you can beat to death with a fire extinguisher when he gets you stuck.
Your phone can send to the depth of over 12K feet? Must be nice, my piece of shit can't even pick up Spotify in a tunnel. It's safe to say that every person onboard that craft put a lot more trust in technology than I do.
As we approach peak idiocracy, we should stop trusting our lives to high tech things. There are going to be more and more accidents with those huge airplanes, high speed trains, etc. because at the end of the day companies will only be able to hire pajeets, beaners or women to do the maintenance.
Oh it’s coming! A lot of senior pilots have and are retiring. They are being replaced as fast as the airlines can find them. Captains are being upgraded sooner than traditional experience levels used in the past. Diversity and inclusion is a major factor as most big airlines sell their souls to ESG. Expect to see a big one soon, maybe in the next year or so, it’s going to make the Tenerife crash look minor.
This probably is just a legitimate random event. It's not like any poor people can afford to do this at 250k per seat, but just to probe the possibility, does anyone know if there might have been a motive here somewhere? Was this guy getting in the way of the kikes? It would be a little poetic from their perspective, killing a billionaire roadblock at the same site where they killed the rich folks that stood against the creation of the federal reserve.

Don't quote me on that but 100 million killed is pretty high. Cars over their lifetime has taken a lot of lives I must say
