If I had the means to destroy billions of dollars in military equipment while only spending a few million and sitting at a computer, it would seem like a much better option than sending men into the field. They may not "win" but they are making a serious dent in the western war machine and they aren't even using their best equipment yet by many reports. Ukraine is definitely losing and lost. The next war will be far more decisive. It will be interesting to watch where this goes.
I'll never speak Russian or support Putin, but I am enjoying watching them fuck up the best efforts of the west in this proxy world war.
As far as the sustainability goes, neither side can keep this up forever. The world economies have sent trillions of dollars and have accomplished fuck all. The only part that pisses me off is watching vast wealth be utterly wasted. My young son's will never know the easy life you and I have had
