Back in the day, stewardesses had to be under 110lbs or something, right? Yeah, the plane has a weight limit and "statisticians" averaged the weight for every seat, allowing airlines to not weigh passengers.

There was a study a while back about how the "average weight" was very low compared to actual and planes have been flying overloaded for a long time.

Yeah, they've been reducing the seat size for decades. While she's being foolish for insisting that she should get free accommodations, she wouldn't have been able to fit in the the biggest size seats that they would be able to offer her anyway.

I do, however, extremely dislike the people that say stupid things like "being fat is not a choice." Like someone held a gun to their heads during every meal and screamed at them to clean their plate.
