That's ignorant. You have to apply site:reddit.com to a google search query to get any actual results related to your search. There is still a fuck ton of useful info on reddit.
That's right. He looks like a shill. Shills always say Reddit is useless, despite the fact that Reddit has still big communities for topics that don't talk about politics.
Dig around enough and there's a lot of useful stuff or at least things to consider you may not have before. Lifting advice, injury prevention, tech help when you stick 32gb of RAM in your PC and enable XMP but it won't restart ....
Yeah!
Good stuff.
And the rare based one that racks up downvotes like nobody's business but thinks it's hilarious.
I have too much of a spine to be on Reddit although I will thank it for being the first forum type thing which lead me to voat which lead me to poal which lead me to here. But fuck Reddit. Such a pathetic place and the people who cowtail their opinions and walk on eggshells to not offend some random faggot with “power” somewhere. It’s soy. It’s embarrassing. Again pathetic. Idk I can’t do that. Maybe that’s why rebellions happen, there’s people like me and us and there’s people like them who will do what they’re told without a peep. YOU BE A GOOD LITTLE BITCH AND YOU THINK WHAT WE TELL YOU TO THINK

Personally, I hope it dies. I used to use it for so much, I've been banned for nothing. Stuff and ideas that nobody would have batted an eye at prior to 2016.
So, I'm good. Let it die. Maybe someone will replace it with something that isn't poison.
Well, hopefully it will ruin the little bubble world they live in. Even brainwashed types will start bleating once something personally affects them. Now, how many of them connect the dots to how this applies to other situations in life, who knows.
Protesting is only tolerated as long as it is convenient, at which point force is used.
Reddit had a handful of programmers make 3rd party programs that would interact with the site in various ways. Supposedly to make it easier to browse or customize the user experience. Not super sure what they did or how it worked. Anyways, in order for these programs to work, they need Reddit's API access; pretty typical networking stuff. Reddit determined that giving API access for free (like 90% of websites) was wasted profits. So they decided to start charging for API access. What price did they settle on? One million dollars. Monthly. Obviously, the indie devs who made these programs aren't pulling in 7figures a month to pay for this so all their stuff had to be shut down. This pissed off the Reddit users so much that in protest the subreddit mods and admins started setting their subs to private. So many major subs went private that it bricked the front page of Reddit because the algorithm didn't know what to show people.
Yeah you can't make the shit up. 1 million dollars a month they thought was a fair price. It wasn't even like a Jew-y "we want $20/mo for something that used to be free" it was a straight up Dr. Evil moment. "One MILLION dollars!"
