Nope. It was a series of low res stills taken from a video. Gigapixel was used to upscale it. Photoshop added contrast.

The readable text on the tshirt impresses me. My AI usually just renders gibberish words. This makes me think the pic has a legit original that's being faceswapped using img2img inpainting techniques. The body doesn't change much between frames, just the head and background.

Yeah, that got me as well. The fact that the sign in the background is typical AI gibberish but the shirt is very clear makes me think that this might be a combination of AI + Photoshop, or maybe the text of the shirt was an explicit part of the AI prompt?

No way it could get the text on the shirt right, even specifically prompting for it. I also vaguely seem to recognize the source. I know I've seen that shirt before. What the artist did was likely use inpaint to mask off just the torso of the beast and have a protest scene and head render around it. A technique called reference only modelling with controlnet will allow for the generation of multiple instances of the same face making different expressions.
