Zero fires in Alaska seems suspect. 3 in the plains of ND, and 2 in the plains of MN, but no fires in AK?
would be nice to have a baseline of how many fires are expected per year, time of year, etc. to better determine how far from normal this is.

It's abnormal. Forests close to cities are being heavily attacked in the last five years. It was rare until then.
