I’m just speculating here but like the Nord stream pipeline explosion, this dam failure in no way benefits Russia. This has NATO written all over it. If you were planning a counter offensive into Russian held territory of Ukraine, this dam destruction would be a tactical benefit. What’s next? Will the Ukrainian army suddenly acquire landing barges and appear on the beaches of crimea?
if Russia wasn't being careful trying to not kill Russians in the regions the ukraine was attacking to goad them into war Russia would of taken all of the ukraine in a week.
