Just say "If its an offical tax deduct it from my paycheck, if its a volunteer payment there is no case so let me go back to work."

"I would've donated if you gave me that raise I asked for last year..."

Wage theft is a felony. That includes coerced "donations".

How much worse can it get?

Normally I'd say there would or should be some kind of legal defence here if anon was actually fired or disciplined for refusing a "voluntary" donation, but we don't live in a saine world.

His execution is probably scheduled for friday.

Politely I don’t have to give money to causes I don’t agree with. And refuse to discuss the issue any more. If they want to do anything else, you probably have a “hostile work” case.

It's a trap to explain anything to anyone in the corporate world. Just tell them no.

turn it around. you're being guilted into giving money and she is pandering on company time. I don't feel safe because I don't want to give and she is making the work environment a hostile place.
