Neighbor gave me his old boat

So me and wife were taking our son on his first fishing trip my neighbor stopped and talked to us, then gave us his old boat

Well the outboard motor needs fixed. Never worked on boat motor before but have for snow blowers and lawn mowers so shouldn't be too difficult

Just remember it is water cooled, and the water comes from the lake/ocean.

You need a hose attachment to simulate being on the water before you run the motor.

Yeah tiny boats are simple. I even knew a guy who stored his (tiny, for amateur racing) sailboat on the beach all winter. No fees.

Have a kayak that I rigged out for fishing that I've had before the wife and kid that I still love. One of the reasons I bought this house I'm half a mile from a lake

Out of the water is what is needed. But if that water is tidal, you need to make sure it is out of the water at the highest tide with a wind pushing it.
