Related: accidentally clicked delete on a PM. I don’t think there was a confirm message like “are you sure you want to delete this?” Maybe their should be?
Maybe easier to request a replacement if you know the sender. Otherwise, you may be able to find the (now unlinked) file on your hard drive, if you haven't overwritten it with new activity. You'd need some sort of file or hard drive examiner, and to remember a key phrase from the message to search for.
When you delete, that normally just removes the link from your list of files. The file itself stays until you overwrite it with new stuff.
This isn't the best messaging system. Remember to save before submitting so you don't lose it when 'post' logs you out instead.
