Since the Statue of Liberty is thoroughly kiked and satanistic, I propose replacing it with my new and improved design.

It was written 3 years before the statue was completed, specifically to help with fundraising efforts for its construction.

The plaque being added at a later date is irrelevant.

That said, I'm not opposed to the idea of subverting symbols and making them our own. A goat can be satanic too, in some contexts. And yet, here, we have made it into a symbol of defiance and perseverance. Symbols mean whatever we say they mean.

It was written to raise money for the foundation of the statue not the statue itself. Possibly an important distinction. In other words the stone work on which the copper statute stands. Interestingly enough of course it was the wife of the secretary of the Confederacy who urged the Jew poet to write the poem to encourage immigration because the Confederacy had lost the war and slavery was going to be outlawed and they wanted cheap labor. And of course she went to New York City to do it because New York City was the place that had actually benefited from all the cheap slave labor in the south.
