They've been doing that for a long time. It's standard operating procedure for abusive people. From the common "I'm not cheating, you're nuts." to the captive chained in the basement for their own good. The USSR existed on that game.
You're basically correct, except it's not a new tactic at all. The mass (((medication))) of anyone, particularly young white males, who might fight against them started at least 15 years ago.
They basically defined all the real mental illnesses down such that they now cover people's basic, normal, but outside "the norm" personalities. That's why everyone seems to have their own mental disorder and the associated psych drugs to go with them.
Autism being the main one. They changed the definition of autism to include many of the common traits among highly intelligent boys/men. While those traits are, in fact, outside the norm, considering so is being high IQ, they are not "mental health problems".
