Smoking and Cancer became a thing after mass production of cigarettes began during the last century. Until then people still smoked but they got their tobacco unprocessed and without chemicals, rolled their own. They’ve been doing this since the colonies were established in the Americas. So was it the tobacco or the chemicals added to Tobacco that brought on the lung cancer craze?

I started smoking cigars during the lock down, I was bored. My friends all smoked cigars, so we get on FaceTime a few times a week for a cigar.

A week ago, my dentist said my blood pressure was high. So I went to my doctor for the first time in 5 years and they didn’t like that I had started smoking cigars. They said it will raise my pressure. They want me to keep a daily log of my readings. I blew 150 bucks on a top of the line Omron Platinum pressure test machine.

I test before a cigar, during, and after. No change. Only twice so far, but I’m not seeing any change in blood pressure from a cigar. And I smoke those fat fucking Churchill’s.

take a look at the cdc lung cancer stats, they are over a 20 year period I think 01-21 and if you do the math the rate only drops .02% when there was a significant decrease in smoking over that time period. I'm convinced smoking decreases your susceptibility to allergies along with other things but I'd stay away from big tobacco products with a billion additives.

Its a nasty habit, but hot damn its a fine one too. Grew my own last year and its way easier than many guides make it seem. Main trick is having the right place to dry the stuff. Too humid and it molds, too dry and it dries green.

Only got 2 kgs this year and everyone wants it so I'm prepping a whole field next year. Organic tobacco isn't even available in stores here so its up to the home gamer.
