I go to Galveston three times a year. I rent a beach house three times bigger than I need, and I don’t venture out. Except to write ‘Trump Won’ on the beach in giant letters.

The traffic if pretty bad. Everyone is basically trudging along a single coastal road. The museum for all the nigs that were wiped out in the great Galveston hurricane, was pretty interesting. And there is an aquarium. That’s about it.

Observing from my deck, I’ve never seen a person erase ‘Trump Won’ from the sand. It will stay all day till the tide comes in. It’s spawned copy cats. I’ve found it written miles down the beach. Everyone knows…it makes them smile when they see it written, to know they’re not alone.

Went there one year on a spur of the moment road trip.

Beach, bars and oil rigs in the ocean.

You can drive on the beach like Daytona.

Worth it for a 3 day or more weekend.

Head into the old downtown area. its a tourist place with little local shops.

If you like old architecture, there are some amazing old homes from the turn of the 19th to 20th century.

There are two main beaches. Stuart and East. East is more "party", Stewart is more "family." beaches will be filled with spics.

There is a nature habitat thing called Moody Gardens that has some educational stuff and interesting information.

I've lived there before, and the best story I have about Texas is that I was flying down a desolate highway dodging tumbleweeds in the middle of the desert and got pulled over by a State Trooper. He walked up to the window and asked "Do you know how fast you were going?", and I said "My speedometer was pegged, so I really don't know." He says, "137. Slow down." and then he walks back to his cruiser and drives off.
