This is why you use a service to create single use debit/credit cards that you can set spending and one-time use limits for. You figure the total amount, you set your card limit and make it one time use and you don't have to worry about this shit.
They order groceries through the store, delivery goes through Instacart. Delivery person took their shit and bought another $400 worth of shit and kept it all for a total of around $700 gone. Refunds tied it up (because the store went through the credit card account instead of their bank directly) for a week and double the amount so they got their money back but only after there was a 10 day hold of $1400.
There was no other source of food for around a year and a half, and only because the shopper at your door wanting tips would ignore your mask requirement.
Those two could stand to be banned from food for a few months though.
