Dolphins, octopi, and elephants are some fairly intelligent creatures. Just thinking out loud, but it would be really interesting to interact with a highly developed insect or a bird with brains as large as ours. How would their minds differ from ours? What would their civilizations, philosophies, and social norms look like? Maybe they'd be much more intelligent than we are. Insect brains seem to do a lot with very few neurons. Bird evolution values a high functionality to weight ratio.

We can observe "racism" in different groups of dolphins disliking more violent and less intelligent dolphin sub-species. We can see groups allying with others as well, and we've observed them forming cliques, hierarchies, and even partaking in drugs by passing around puffer fish. I could see them easily developing into an advanced species in a few million years. They just need a more efficient way of gripping things and manipulating their environment.

Octopi have that part down, but they're not a very social species, and social interactions are an excellent evolutionary reactor for improving genetic intelligence. Elephants aren't as advanced intellectually, but they are social, and their trunks are pretty good for grasping objects.

I don't believe that's real. I've never seen an elephant paint anything that could be recognized.

Quite a few since this is something zoos and such do regularly with elephants for the past several decades. It's practically a trope.

Yep, and an actual tourist gimmick, bc a trainer is using the elephants ear to steer the trunk.

'I read an article where someone broke it down. According to the article the trainer is taping and pulling the elephants ear to "drive" the elephants trunk in the direction they want. It takes several weeks of training. On you tube video's you can see the trainer immediately take hold of the elephants ear after handing them the brush'.

In fact every single video i have seen of an elephant 'painting' has a trainer standing next to them holding their ear and then to listen to some waffled mouthed fluff from academics about whether they know what they're painting or 'careful deliberate strokes as you or i might make when painting' is ridiculous.

Nope, you're correct. A trainer is guiding the elephants trunk by taping and directing the elephants ear.
It's a gimmick, that retarded pseudo-academics either think is real or are deliberately perpetuating the nonsense.

That's actually an Asian elephant. You can tell by the ear size and the fact he didn't paint a 40oz malt liquor bottle.

Incredible nonetheless that they would have such awareness of their own being, even if they were "trained" to do that.
