When I would realize that I was outmatched, I would go aggressively for as many trades as I could. My rationale was that then they'd have fewer resources to outmaneuver me, while I was still basically in the same boat of hoping they'd slip up and I'd luck into an undeserved win. Not saying it was the smartest tactic; only that it's the one I'd choose.
