I know this was a common belief among many jews and gentiles, but there doesnt seem to be much genetic evidence supporting it. Various jewish sub-populations appear to be a mix of levantine DNA and the DNA of the area they live in.

In this PCA chart, georgian jews, azerbaijani jews appear to be about halfway the genetic distance between Caucasus populations (Armenians, Georgians, Adygei) and Palestininians. Ashkhenazi and Sephardi are halfway between Palestinians and French or Hungarians. They are not close to Caucasus groups.

Modern turks are around 20% Turkic. Turkic DNA was not introduced to turkey until around 1000 years ago, I think. Before then the people of Anatolia would have been a bit more closely related to the greeks or armenians (educated guess). They spoke greek or maybe galatian there in the middle ages and before that, hittite or something like it. All indo-european languages.

See the PCA graph? This charts how europeans are related to each other. Germans are the DE. According to genetic analysis ashkhenazi jews are about 50% white european on the female side. They are 50% levantine on the male side consistent with the DNA of other levantines.

“Khazar” ancestry would skew mor toward other caucasus populations but the only jews that fit that profile are caucasus jew populations such as georgian jews.

Scythian is really a late iron age society in eastern europe. But I think when people say scythian they really mean Yamnaya or steppe herder, or proto-indo-european. Whites are around 40 to 60% descended from that group or its offshoots like corded ware. Not including spaniards, italians, greeks.
