Flight MH17 was a Boeing 777, shot down over eastern Ukraine, in an area held by Russia-backed separatists, on July 17, 2014. It was headed to Amsterdam.

There were 298 souls on board. Most were families from the Netherlands and other European countries, returning home from a vacation with their children. There were also 27 adults and 4 children from Australia, likely heading to Europe to enjoy a warm summer, as well as at least one passenger each from Canada, New Zealand and the US. There were no survivors.

About 160 commercial flights had flown over the region previously that same day. No warning was ever issued.

The aircraft was struck by a missile at cruising altitude, shredding it apart. The missile was later identified as a Buk model 9M38. It was fired from a launcher owned by the 53rd Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces. Russia maintains denial of any involvement or of ever supplying separatists or inciting civil war. The launcher system must have rolled downhill, all on its own, all the way to Ukraine.

Here you can see some of the brave lads involved, posing and celebrating right next to a piece of fuselage that clearly identifies this as a civilian flight. You can see suitcases in the background. The mangled corpses of 298 plain-clothed men, women and children would have been scattered all around them. They appear to be having a grand ol' time.

The Russians were indeed behind the crash of MA Flight 17, in that a satellite shot shows an air to air missile launched by a Russian MiG 29 closing in on the aircraft which duly crashed in Ukraine. Guardian.com.

Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 was a scheduled international passenger flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing that disappeared in flight March 8, 2014, Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 was an identical Boeing 777-200ER which crashed near the Ukraine / Russia border, while on a regular flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur July 17, 2014 .. we say they were the same plane.

I can't prove it right now, but this is wrong.

I have seen cell phone footage from locals on the day it happened. It clearly shows the missile fired from the ground and striking the aircraft. They cheer, thinking they shot down a Ukrainian military transport. Later footage shows them discovering their grim error. They argue, some still insisting it must have been a military plane. Others point to all the suitcases and say that can't be right. One man finds a stuffed children's toy. Mangled corpses everywhere. Eventually they stop denying the obvious and start blaming the pilots for "flying over a war zone", saying it's all their fault. They are all more concerned with NATO bombing them in retaliation than with what they have done.

As mentioned, I don't have the evidence to hand. So you'll have to take it for whatever my word is worth to you.

I probably have the videos saved in my archives somewhere. But I would have to find them, and translate them, and then you would still have to trust my translation, and someone would call it fake, and it would likely just get buried in downvotes from the all the Putin worshipers here. So I just can't be assed to put in the effort right now. Maybe later.

The event was obviously widely publicized and investigated when it happened, and for years after.

The text in OP is my own summary of events and facts, compiled from various sources. I provided two wiki links, which link to further sources, that you can use as a starting point. Or just search on your favorite search engine and refer to whatever sources you prefer to verify everything I said.

The photos show what they show. It is obviously the MH17, unless you think they also shot down another Malaysia Airlines flight and nobody noticed. Not sure how that would help. The image has been floating around the chans since shortly after the event. It was recently reposted on 4chan, reminding me of it. I also have cell phone videos taken by locals (who, btw, were more worried about NATO bombing them in retaliation than the catastrophe in front of them) right when it happened, collecting bitrot somewhere in my data folders.

The sauce on those pictures. They look like the ones I've seen from Bellingcat. Bellingcat is a NGO that "investigates" things from their computer and have been caught several times falsifying photos and knowingly taking photos out of context and applying narratives to pictures that are totally irrelevant to the narrative being applied.

And no. There has been no actual evidence linking Russia to the downing of MH17 and it is just as equally suspected that AZOV brought down that aircraft, believing they were targeting a Russian jet.

I've answered where I got the images. First time hearing about Bellingcat. I did not ask them for comment on their involvement, or lack thereof, with these specific photos. Feel free to do so yourself.

There are plenty of other photos of the crash, from many different sources, and many of them show pieces with identical decals.

Some of the pieces are likely from the underside of fuselage and wings, as well as the inside of hatches and cargo spaces. Obviously they would not show up in a photo such as the one you linked.

You said you posted two links to wiki.

One link was to the MH17 event. And the other about the BUK missile system.

Noted on the "investigation" part. They ran two investigations. One was a Dutch investigation about why the plane crash and the other was an investigation about who was responsible. In that section, it was clearly noted.

Ukraine has delegated the leadership of both investigations to the Netherlands.

No mention of Russian participation in those investigations

Now, where in those two links did you get the photos? I didn't see them in the wiki links, but since they were tl:Dr tiered, maybe you can point to the link that provides the photos you posted.

"Floating around the chans" isn't a legit source and, like I said, they look like the b photos that Bellingcat, a US and UK intelligence funded NGO that's know to put out fake information and fake photos to shit post bullshit about Russia. And, while you may not have heard about bellingcat, doesn't mean the photos aren't from Bellingcat or that they are legit.

Russia denies that they were involved and have stated that they have evidence that AZOV was involved.

So, how about it, where did you get those photos and where in the known picture of MH17 do you see decals in shiny white saying Malaysia?
