It's embroidered (not knitted) but yes, I agree. The pics of the other moths in the article are awesome too but don't show the scale as well as this pic.

For a while I've wanted to embroider moths and butterflies but so many artists do it and I don't want to be "common". I do appreciate the other artists' work though.

you could do a cyber-punk space butterfly equipped with laser cannons. then we could put an AI brain in it and fly it off to defend the mexican border!
