Where's the Evidence?

Conspirologist posts quite a lot of good stuff, but he has been getting downvoated and slurs tossed his way. A few of the downvoats come right away, as if it's a program. It's as if "somebody" doesn't want him posting on Voat/Talk. I remember Boeniker, who was posting craploads of great memes, went through something similar a while back and then it stopped. 2 months back, this same article would have been 20 up, no downvoats if posted by conspirologist.

@system - have you looked at this? Is the downvoating artificially done or would you even have a way to determine if they were?

Anytime someone posts a lot of content to the site, for some reason some people get offended and start downvoting, instead of blocking the person. Same thing happen to that other guy who used to post a lot of good picture content who eventually quit the site. Then due to people and their cattle-like herd mentality no one upvotes. The best thing you can do is upvote to cancel out the downvotes. I recently changed the placement algorithm to take these downvotes into consideration, so these posts have a better chance to get to the front. But people need to upvote. Maybe I need to further reduce the amount of downvotes allotted.

Thanks @system. I don't want your thumb on the scale, but it just seems so odd. 2 months back dude would get 9up/0down, or 17up/1 down, now its down down downvoats for what appears to me to be good content. Brother, I appreciate you and I appreciate the site -but it's content that makes it worth coming to. Content that often isn't found on non-free speech sites and con delivers content...and it seems some folks want to see less of it for some "strange reason.

I've suggest this before. This is what you get when one user can downvote all the posts of another user.

But I've also suggested that there should be a 24 hour waiting period before you can submit again, unless your most recent post is positive. This would encourage quality over quantity, and automatically take care of (((blume))) creating new accounts and spamming new posts.

But people need to upvote.

The fact that he doesn't get upvotes is indicative of his spammy reputation.
