There is better footage available and you can see at least two of the patriots were fizzers and didnt even make it to altitude. When the MSM admits Russia took out the battery it must be true.
But they didn't take out any of the batteries. US sent inspectors, who found that one of the batteries had "minor damage but is still fully functional". IE, the missile missed and some shrapnel chipped some paint or maybe cracked a window.
Sorry @Glorybeckons, appreciate your viewpoint: but at this point, where our government has repeatedly lied to us and been caught over and over doing so, I'm not likely to believe anything the lying fuckers say unless I see with my own eyes.
That's a very healthy position to take. I would encourage you to apply it evenly.
Russia has also "lied to us and been caught over and over doing so" both historically and in the current conflict. To be consistent, you would have to apply the same standard to their claims.
Yet you seem satisfied with this webm as "proof" of their claims of "Patriots missing hypersonics" when, in fact, all the webm shows is Patriots being fired and nothing more. And I suppose no proof at all is needed to accept their claim of destroying one of the Patriot batteries. The Russian embassy said so in a tweet, so it must be true?
It's important not to allow your disappointment with one corrupt government to lead you into having blind faith in another corrupt government.

That was what i was gonna say, i saw no missles impacting, only those being fired and whatevedr the flash was at the end didnt show an explosion (bc the clip cut off) and the smoke trails from the launches were not on screen anymore - so who knows when that flash occurred or what period of time elapsed from the missles being launched from the city.

Agreed @Glorybeckons. However, I currently see tons more lies from the US government. USSR use to roll with them all the time, much like our government today, but since they became russia, there is much less. As far as Ukraine, Zelensky has banned a free press and jailed anyone who doesn't play ball. Most recently Gonzolo Lira who got disappeared - so no trust for them either.
This is a US funded and driven war, not a Russia one. The US, or our jewish bosses in the .gov, started this war back in 2014 when they overthrew a democratically elected government and put their boy in. Then they started funding the Ukrainian military in a large way: thus threatening their neighbor, Russia. Moscow is slightly over 500 miles from Kiev. The usa has repeated lied about accepting former USSR client border states as Nato members and our bases surround Russia, not the other way. Russia invaded as there had been @14000 mostly civilian deaths in the donbass because Ukrainian lied when they signed the Minsk agreement.
I'm sorry, but you're being willfully blind and ignoring what is right in front of you. See my other comment for a short list of some of the boldest and most obvious lies they have told from the beginning of this conflict. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. They lie routinely and daily about practically everything.
Your view of the conflict is severely distorted, because it is built on a foundation of believing those lies, without evidence, and swiftly forgetting every time they were clearly exposed, while immediately assuming every single Western position is a lie, even when there is hard evidence.
Did the US prefer Kikensky over the alternatives? Certainly. Did they support him to increase his chances of winning? Clearly. Have they profited from mutual corruption? Absolutely.
But the notion that the US forcefully "installed" him, against the will of the Ukrainian people, by "overthrowing a democratically elected government" which was loved and supported by its people is completely absurd and divorced from reality. The US had a hand in fanning the flames, sure. But the fuel, and tinder, and the spark that lit that fire were all supplied by Russia and their continued abuse and exploitation of their neighbors. The previous government was their puppet. And everyone knew it. And everyone was sick of it.
The Ukrainian people themselves wanted to be free from the Neo-Soviet yoke. They themselves wanted closer relations with the West. Otherwise, the revolution would never have worked. Otherwise, the US would have had to use bombs and missiles against Ukraine to have their way. Otherwise, Russia wouldn't need to invade and mass murder everything that moves. Otherwise, they would have no one to fight. Otherwise, they would have been received with flowers and cheering crowds, instead of bullets and molotovs.
But none of that happened that way, did it? All of it happened exactly the other way around.
accepting former USSR client border states as Nato members
There are no "former USSR client border states". There is no such thing. The only thing that is former is the USSR. It doesn't exist anymore. It's history. That's what Russians can't get through their thick heads. They don't get to dictate the foreign policy of their neighbors. They don't own them. Not anymore. They are not their colonies. They are sovereign nations. And they have every right to decide who they associate with, and who they distance themselves from. Russia gets no say in that.
If Russia wanted better relations with its neighbors, maybe they should have treated them better. Instead, they constantly threaten all of them, and invade one of them every few years, for some routine murder and carnage, to show everyone how "big and bad" they are. And then they blame the US for the fallout of their own actions.
Stop gurgling Russian propaganda and simping for a literal communist invasion of Europe.
A war? What war? There is only a 3-day special olympics operation. Our troops are just having a training exercise on our side of the border. We would never ever invade our brother nation, that's just Western hysteria. Which is why Moskva is safe and sound, and returning to port, and totally not sinking, from not being hit.
Comrade, you better watch what you say, before you end up not-drafted into the not-war.

No one ever claimed that they could shoot down hypersonic missiles. They weren't designed for that. But the fact that they did shoot one down is impressive.
Ukraine reportedly shot one down, consider the source. I didn't say anything about claims. It's a bit defeatist lol but it would be cheaper to let the Russian missiles go through and use the money spent on Patriots to rebuild. Besides the missile cost they have a 90 person crew.
[ - ] Belfuro 1 point 2.0 yearsMay 18, 2023 03:56:36 ago (+1/-0)
It's like claiming a bb shot down a jet.
Take with a grain of salt.
Meanwhile usa has stood down patriot launchers in Ukraine while they complete an investigation into there effectiveness. Why Ukraine hid them in civilian blocks. Why Ukraine emptied the launchers wasting all the rounds. And if Ukraine had been bribed to supply rf with launcher locations
They've shot down at least half a dozen by now. Maybe more. It wasn't a fluke. It's because Kinzhals are forced so slow down substantially when they approach the target in order to maneuver, from initial speeds of mach 7+ down to less than mach 2, while Patriots fly at up to mach 4+.
Right, cause a shiny new Western Patriot SAM installation wouldn't be a target during massive missile strike with dozens of rockets and drones. Better blow up some city block or a children's hospital or a shopping center. Priorities!
I asked somewhere -- not this thread I guess -- what do the Russian missiles cost? I think that kind of determines who's winning this sort of engagement.
If I recall correctly around $14 million USD for each Kinzhal. But I don't have a source at hand. Certainly much more than the Patriots.
Aside from cost, there is also the question of available stock to consider. We have far more Patriots going to waste in warehouses than they have Kinzhals, or anything comparable. If it's already built, and wouldn't be used otherwise, how much does it really cost?
However, to not embellish the situation, far from the whole barrage from the night of this webm were Kinzhal. Only six or seven of the incoming missiles, I think, one of which made it through but missed its target. There were also around that many Iskander-M, which cost $3 million a piece, so slightly cheaper. And a large assortment of various others, including Iranian drones, which are practically free by comparison. A painful trade, to be sure.
If they have any sense about them, Russians will likely cease using Kinzhal from now on, unless they are certain the target isn't covered by Patriots, and opt for cheaper (but less effective) alternatives. This would result in less advantageous trades in the future. Forcing them to ground their strongest weapon has value too though, which I will not venture to estimate.
Not to mention the humiliation of it, after they boasted so loudly of it being unstoppable.
I will, thanks. Anyone who dares invade Europe and mass murders White people can burn in nuclear hellfire as far as I'm concerned. And anyone who supports it can burn right along with them. Vermin.
