I found this on HuffPo. They're claiming Reuters "mistakenly" published an obituary about him, which immediately withdrawn. But if you watch the video and get past the part the newsreader DIDN'T quote, you'll find this in the same paragraph:

"(((George Soros))), who died at XXX at age XXX, was a predatory and hugely successful financier and investor, who argued paradoxically for years against the same sort of free-wheeling capitalism that made him billions."

I think he's dead, and this is a Soviet Union style of breaking the news, in a way that's "it's false, but be prepared because it might be true".
