Apparently the new protected class of sexual orientation is referred to as “paraphilia”… Their legal gymnastics are attempting to make discrimination against people who openly admit/advertise they are minor attracted (or have been convicted/stigmatized). This will lead to it being illegal for courts to impose restrictions on working with children, living by schools, Etc. If you don’t want your children to have contact with them or talk to them, theoretically, they can sue you for sexual discrimination.
I swear it seems like these asshole politicians do shit like this just because they know it will outrage people on the opposite side of the sociopolitical spectrum. They don't truly give one crap about any of these groups they champion; it's all about showing daddy. That's not to say there aren't pedophiles in positions of power, though, but I don't think they'd be so foolish as to go to bat for all of their kind and risk outing themselves. Or perhaps it really has gotten that bad. .
