This is why I don't go to Catholic church anymore, it's infested with blasphemers, dismantlers and communists. There was one Latin Mass in my whole county of +1,000,000 until the priest got upset about who knows and quit. Now I'm in a different area with only one priest who went on and on about "the great Nelson Mandela" at the mass we requested for my brother who killed himself. "Against this rock the powers of hell will not prevail" must be referring to a different rock.
What they're thinking is that maybe they can reduce or eliminate religious inspired rivalry and hatred. Any time you see the term "interfaith," (or similar) that's what that is.
The problem is that all Abrahamic religions are convinced that the other Abrahamic religions and their followers should die. It's a core part of those religions, set down as commandments to destroy those "other" places of worship and kill the priests, followers of those other religions.
I knew someone who worked in "interfaith." At it's core is the very white (or perhaps fake-jewish) idea that we can all get along if we just try hard enough. Very New Testament Christlike.
