These things are fun. They are particularly good in crowded areas such as shopping precincts. The hard-wheel is the best. The roll is quite amazing. The air-tyre is sluggish in comparison, albeit safer on uneven tarmac. In hindsight I wouldn't have bought the air-tyre.

It's quite satisfying and indeed fun to work a footpath so you can roll a distance simply due to physics/gravity.And once I had a strong wind behind me and my body acted like a sail and I was flying along, hoping everyone in their cars was noticing it was all under my own steam with a little help from Mother Nature.

Absolutely. The thing that hit me first off was the speed the hard-tyre could work up and so shaken was I by a trip down "suicide drive" where I didn't dare try and find the brake in case wobble set in that I thought I'd better buy the safer air-tyre version before I killed myself. And that's the thing...if you hit some obstruction in the pavement with a hard-tyre you're cactus.
