We also found Chinese parsley accelerates the excretion of Hg, Pb, and A1 from the body though the urine.

Seems there may be something to this. But it’s far from a proven treatment protocol. Some of the benefits may be due to antioxident properties of luteolin which is in many herbs. How (or if) it actually chelates metals, I don’t know. If cilantro can do this there are probably a few other plants that can do this as well. I think I saw something about chlorella.

Related, I read that silica is good at chelating aluminum which we all have a bit of in our brains, from vaccines and other sources. That can be bought as a supplement and is usually obtained from horsetail or bamboo.

There are pharmaceutical products with perhaps better binding capacity. Things like DMPS, DMSA, or EDTA are often used. If you google something like "thiol groups" and mercury, you will see cilantro has one thiol group. This is the molecule responsible for binding to heavy metals. Cilantro has one thiol group, while the synthetic binders often have two.

Therefore cilantro can be classified as a gentle binder, but it does seem to work.

"Thiols are sometimes referred to as mercaptans (/m?r'kæptæn/) or mercapto compounds, a term introduced in 1832 by William Christopher Zeise and is derived from the Latin mercurio captans ('capturing mercury') because the thiolate group (RS-) bonds very strongly with mercury compounds."

Yeah I was just reviewing what the established treatments are. I would probably go with one of those if I thought I had a problem. But you answered my question, thiol.

Fuckin Grade A response brother!

I consume it all the time and still love heavy metal.

[ - ] Centaurus 2 points 1 yearApr 30, 2023 15:52:16 ago (+2/-0)

Too much heavy metal in your diet can lead to hearing loss.

[ - ] HonkyMcNiggerSpic 6 points 1 yearApr 30, 2023 12:34:19 ago (+6/-0)

did you know that because of genetics, 50% of people who eat cilantro will claim it tastes like soap?

[ - ] Hall_of_Cost 4 points 1 yearApr 30, 2023 12:59:10 ago (+4/-0)

I'm glad it doesn't include me. I like cilantro.

[ - ] HonkyMcNiggerSpic 2 points 1 yearApr 30, 2023 13:03:13 ago (+2/-0)

Me too. I use it in a lot of stuff.

[ - ] bobdole9 1 point 1 yearMay 1, 2023 08:48:59 ago (+1/-0)

Its the terpene linalool - cilantro and lavender both have high concentrations. Some either enjoy it while the rest "tastes soap".

[ - ] Ragnar 1 point 1 yearMay 1, 2023 01:02:56 ago (+1/-0)

If soap tastes disgusting then yes. It also smells disgusting. I can’t even be in the same house as fucking cilantro or coriander

[ - ] bobdole9 0 points 1 yearMay 1, 2023 08:51:39 ago (+0/-0)

Do you also dislike lavender? If so, its likely the terpene linalool that's irritating your senses.

[ - ] Ragnar 0 points 1 yearMay 1, 2023 11:46:42 ago (+0/-0)

Idk wtf that is but I strictly avoid lavender because it’s estrogenic.
And I remember when my mother used to force sunscreen on me, I used to get a strong headache and watery eyes. I also cannot stand perfumes all these retards wear.

So, I am basically allergic to everything fake and synthetic and endocrine disrupting.

I don’t want to know how you know that taste, but cilantro absolutely tastes disgusting

I see what you did there :)

I suggest taking a dive into the topic of chelation.

Chelators bind to metal ions. So yes, you can use a chelating agent to remove heavy metals, but you can also use chelators to increase the bioavailability of some elements.

[ - ] Ragnar 1 point 1 yearMay 1, 2023 01:00:30 ago (+1/-0)

Coriander tastes and smells disgusting

[ - ] I_am_baal 1 point 1 yearApr 30, 2023 18:19:18 ago (+1/-0)

I haven't done a deep dive into it, but OSR was banned from the states by the pharma-kikes. It was curing autism consistently and removing heavy metals very effectively. It just binds to them stronger than anything else I've found, essentially rendering them harmless and removable without redistribution issues.

I've also heard good things about zeolite; just be careful where you get it from, and look up third party tests for heavy metals. A consistent problem with binders is the presence of already-bound heavy metals.

[ - ] MuricaPersonified 1 point 1 yearApr 30, 2023 15:14:46 ago (+1/-0)

Cilantro is the devil's parsley. Vile weed. Incinerate it all. If you have the gene that lets you taste aldehydes, you know what I'm talking about.

[ - ] lord_nougat 1 point 1 yearApr 30, 2023 14:15:14 ago (+1/-0)

I like cilantro and have eaten lots of it. No wonder I seem to be comprised of no heavy metal, but am still riddled with classical particles.

[ - ] qwop 1 point 1 yearApr 30, 2023 13:46:39 ago (+1/-0)

I've listened to many lectures of a Ph.D MD with close to 40 years of practice. He uses it on his patients all the time. For severe patients often in combination with chlorella, which is another toxin binder. It seems to work. Not an instant cure, but regular use removes heavy metals over time.

[ - ] letsgetit 1 point 1 yearApr 30, 2023 13:04:43 ago (+1/-0)*

I have read this a few places. How much it helps is another story. Eat your Guac is the lesson here. And not shitty processed guac from Chipotle and Taco Smell where they superheat their avocadoes. Lawyers got involved after food poisoning lawsuits against them. Pasteurizing avocadoes kills good nutrients

[ - ] Hall_of_Cost 1 point 1 yearApr 30, 2023 13:20:00 ago (+1/-0)

I love a good Guac.
