I wonder why phishing emails are so retarded?

I have noticed that phishing emails are obviously retarded. They look like were written by trolls, not hackers. Are people really supposed to trust their bullshit, or it is some kind of psy-op I can't understand yet?

I would expect most phishing emails to pass spam filters and a lot of human filters too.

That would be self-defeating, because it's ideal for a scammer to winnow out people who will see through the scam. Otherwise they waste their time on people who'll drop out before sending money.

If you make it through a retard-level scam letter, and reply, you're very likely to be a good prospect.
