I don't really think he said those words. Even if he probably thought it, and might be a somewhat fair summary of what he could have said.

Feel good meme quotes are next generation mental midgetry.

He said a lot about useful idiots. Look up his interview.

I revisit his interview often, which is precisely why I am fairly confident this is fake.

It is real in spirit only.

He did say about useful idiots. It has become a popular meme.

Watch the whole interview, you lazy knob.

Did you even read what I wrote, before accusing me of being lazy? I said I revisit his interview all the time. I have it practically memorized.

The only few instances Yuri discusses "leftists" is when he says he was trained never to waste his time with them.

It's the greedy, grandious, "intellectual" conservatives who lack moral principles who he warns you to watch out for.

"Simply because, you see, the useful idiots — the leftists who are idealistically believing in the beauty of Soviet socialist or communist or whatever system — when they get disillusioned, they become the worst enemies. That’s why my KGB instructors specifically made the point: “Never bother with leftists. Forget about these political prostitutes. Aim higher.” This was my instruction. Try to get into large circulation, established conservative media, reach filthy rich movie makers, intellectuals, so-called academic circles. Cynical, egocentric people who can look into your eyes with angelic expression and tell you a lie. These are the most recruitable people: people who lack moral principles, who are either too greedy or suffer from self-importance. They feel that they matter a lot. These are the people who KGB wanted very much to recruit."

The quote in this meme is basically just fake.

We know the leftists destabilize society, and I'm sure Yuri does too, but to misquote him in this way, undermines the point of his entire interview. Which I can see you, too, have totally missed the point of his teachings.
