Looks like a Turkish Sivas Kangalı breed. Some of the strongest dogs out there, with a proper collar they can take down on any wolf.

Looks like a Kangal . They along with the Balkan Sarplaninac and Georgian Shepherd are basically the apex of dogs. Russians took Georgian shepherds to make Caucasian ovcharka but it’s an unstable tempered nigger dog in comparison. These dogs can dispatch many wolf varieties but I wouldn’t say they can take “any” wolf. Any of them would be hard pressed to beat a North American male wolf. The collar helps them survive for sure though. Generally wolves won’t want to fight some really sharp dogs though. You need to have enough of course. I ran 4 Sarplaninac and had no losses of livestock once they were ready. About 13 miles away though a guy chose to run one Tibetan mastiff and it got shredded to the bone.

The good lines of kangals are hard to get nowadays with Turkey controlling their export. A lot of anatolians in America have some or are kangals but have been softened by poor selection over the years. Anatolians in the us refer to any mix of the various Turk breeds though.
