I know nothing about crypto, less than nothing if that’s possible

I know a bit about electric vehicles. Truth is electric vehicles are the future.

Problem is we don’t live in the future, we dwell in the present, and presently the technology is nowhere near what some dream of.

Inherently there’s not much difference between the two if the power source is renewable.

Yes, the stored energy of a vehicle (at the current time) is a battery mined from limited resources.

What do you dream of that isn’t possible?

Hydrogen compressed into liquid, stored in explosive proof tanks…., bombs

Society is far too fractured to allow advancement in technology that today seems dangerous.

Future folk might have the freedom to exploit the unlimited power of water H2O

Gasoline is stored in tanks that are used as bombs already. Your point?

Gasoline in tanks doesn't explode.

there is nothing unlimited about hydrogen, it's a shitty fuel source

electric vehicles are the future.

Not if we don't fix the energy storage issues.

How do you solve the two main issues, though?

1 - Takes longer than 5min to fully recharge
2 - Can't drive very far without recharging

The way I see it electric, autonomous vehicles are perfect to replace public transportation. Instead of having trams, trains, busses etc. drive back and forth all the time regardless of how many people there are at any given time, have autonomous electric vehicles come to pick people up and drive them where they need to go.

If you need to go farther, just switch vehicles along your route.

I live my life without either

Funny that all we hear about is the "mining", and are told, "well, but as soon as the mining rigs run on ReNeWaBlEs™, that won't count any more!"

Except the real power-gobbler is the 'blockchain' that uses, for each transaction...

... roughly 707.6 kilowatt-hours of electrical energy–equivalent to the power consumed by an average U.S. household over 24 days, according to Digiconomist. source

And those issues are being addressed with new energy efficient cryptos like Nano,XRP, ALGORAND, Internet Computer Protocol and even Litecoin (LTC is the "silver" version if Bitcoin is "Gold").

LTC is the "silver" version if Bitcoin is "Gold")

Actual silver has a higher premium ("transaction cost") than gold. Checking current prices a gold eagle goes for ~10% over spot price, while a silver eagle goes for 87% over spot price.

But 99% of people don't care about crypto as a currency, idiots just want to be at the top of the pyramid scheme.

They'll never make it to the federal reserve. That's the top of the pyramid scheme.
