Fashion photographer here. The answer is "it depends". Most model agencies require a certain height and age range. Basically they want reasonably tall girls age 16-25. The more prominent the agency, generally the better models you find. These days even a lot of the big name places like to use ugly minority or weird looking models. Thankfully, the models at the bigger agencies near me are still mostly reasonably attractive white women.

On the lower end of the modeling world, there are basically no standards. Low end fashion and modeling will always have bullshit like trannies, fatties, girls who don't know how to pose or walk for shit, and Instagram thots with a few thousand followers. The majority of the jobs I get booked for involve leftist wank like "body positivity", "empowered women", "women of color", or any other diversity thing. It's disgusting. I'm sick of shooting overweight sheboons.
