I have a wooden door with a metal door frame. I have one of those security plate things for the door that I want to install. I want security screws that are uncommon enough so that some Puerto Rican junkie can’t fuck with it without having the right drill bit. Looking to buy 1 drill bit or screwdriver head with maybe just 10-15 screws for a one time job. Any help/link/suggestions? Thanks.
Thanks, but I wanting to know which of all of that shit is the most appropriate for the job and then have link to a small kit of like 10 screws and a drill bit
Use any heavy duty screw you want and cover the heads with a bit of JB weld or even any spackel paste - then sand everything flat so it isn’t noticeable, and paint over it so it will look like one solid flat surface.
Maybe better to use spackel if you need to repair it later, as crackheads won’t spend any time trying to find out where the screwed spots are.
Do you mean the type of plate that reinforces the area around the lock cylinder? If I were going to do that, I would use a carriage bolt and drill all the way through and secure it from the other side with an anchor plate. I'd also add a little lock-tite to the threads to make it harder to unscrew. I'd also recommend you install one of those slip-rings for the cylinder so they can't use the pipe wrench trick to brute force it.
I've never dealt with those, but I'd probably install the plate the same way I mentioned above using carriage bolts. You'll have to figure a way to machine the holes in the plate to match the square shank, though.
This is very similar. A 2-piece unit. One goes on the door and other on the frame. When the door closes, they meet and make using a prybar on your deadbolt much more difficult.

Double check the kit you are installing for screw size. I'm not 100% sure what you are installing. Post the kit if you need further guidance.
