This actually explains a lot! Why men who drink a lot of beer tend to get fat and lazy and sit around watching television all day like "some" women. 😳

Yes. This is why over the past decade or so IPA's have taken over more and more shelf space in liquor stores. IPAs use more hops than other type of beer. There are even double and triple IPAs.

you should drink Irish Whiskey, it's much better for you.

As I understand it, hops is the worst grain to use for beer because of this reason (at least this reason). I wonder if there's a market for beer made from an alternative source.

It’s not a grain, it’s a bittering and flavoring agent or flower. You don’t even need to make beer with it - mugwort had been used historically instead, and you can even put in pine cones and peat moss instead.

Interesting. I'll see what else I can learn about the subject.

I wonder if there's a market for beer made from an alternative source.

It's called ale. Ale is beer brewed without hops. You could also go with mead, which is made from honey.

Interestingly, mead looks fairly easy to make

The presence of 8-prenylnaringenin in hops may provide an explanation for the accounts of menstrual disturbances in female hop workers. This phytoestrogen can also be detected in beer, but the levels are low and should not pose any cause for concern.

Try going into the article next time and not just screencap the google stub.

If you'd read the study it says hops are not likely to be phytoestrogenic in beer, especially at the levels typically found of 0.001 up to 0.069 mg/L.

It is phytoestrogenic in the same way lavender is when picking it by hand in the field getting all the plant aromatic oils passing through the dermal layer.

Dunkel for example, and some other dark beers are typically low in hops regardless because they sit lower on the IBU. There are also different types of hops with different levels of prenylflavonoids and bitter forming compounds.

all beers

Beers did not include hops and typically made people bolsterous and horny.

The (((Church))) decreed that all beer must be made with hops.

The (((Church))) decreed

Which church? I would like a source and some context please.

[ - ] Kozel 0 points 1.1 yearsApr 9, 2023 13:00:58 ago (+0/-0)

Catholic church and beer purity laws of Germany.

[ - ] AugustineOfHippo2 0 points 1.1 yearsApr 9, 2023 15:08:02 ago (+0/-0)

still not a source. doing my own research found that it was Martin Luther that instituted the hops and his own slate of beer purity laws, while the Catholic monks used gruit.

silly jews, you know the beer is something used to pacify people, like movies and TV, and you are turning people of both

[ - ] SumerBreeze 2 points 1.1 yearsApr 9, 2023 00:17:17 ago (+3/-1)

OP is a retard - you don’t need hops for beer. Hops is a recent addition, and beer has for the most part of brewing history never called for it’s use.

[ - ] PotatoWhisperer2 6 points 1.1 yearsApr 9, 2023 03:04:01 ago (+7/-1)

Ale is beer brewed without the hops. Beer is ale brewed with hops. Mead is honey alcohol.

Words have specific meanings.

[ - ] Grospoliner -1 points 1.1 yearsApr 9, 2023 09:39:30 ago (+0/-1)

Which you clearly don't know what they mean. Beer consists of ale and lager, which describes the fermentation process of the brew, not what is in them.

Although the result is what you would expect, the correlation is not that direct.

All estrogen once was testosterone, women just have more of the thing that converts test to estrogen. If as a man you somehow get more estrogen exogenously, your testosterone actually goes up because less of it needs to be converted ...but then your endocrine system catches up and less of it needs to be produced.

By the time your endocrine system is back to normal, you severely impeded your training recovery.

Don't party like a fag. Spend time with your family like a man.

All those gay fruits and veggies though.
.
Phytoestrogens are natural compounds found in plants and plant-based foods. When eaten, phytoestrogens may affect a person in the same way as estrogen produced by the endocrine system.1 They can cause estrogenic or antiestrogenic effects and are also known as a "dietary estrogen".0
