It's a brave Jewgle world! I remember when my Comcast box was new and it has voice search and I thought "they can listen to everything I'm saying" and shortly thereafter reading an article that they're doing just that and recording every word for posterity. I can't imagine anything I say being worth recording forever but hey, to each his own I guess. As a criminal defense attorney for over 25 years it does beg the question whether any exonerating evidence recorded will be made available to the defense.

They want us to use their browser so they can censor the results we get. They want us to use their e-mail so they know what we're talking about and to whom. They want us to use their cloud storage so they can edit our documents' language. Google is not anyone's friend, but neither are Microsoft or Apple.

The Dropcam will be functioning until then, but after that date, users will no longer be able to use the camera as it will not work and will be inaccessible on the app.

This is literally illegal. Expect a class action.

I just want a thermostat with a temperature setting and an on/off switch. When I want heat I'll turn it on, when I don't want heat I'll turn it off.
