Case in point: South Africa.

Escom, the state electric company, that was previously staffed by white engineers has been firing their whites and replacing them with communist ANC, comrade, diversity hires.

The result is that the country suffers scheduled blackouts, for hours at a time, even in the major cities. They call it "load shedding" of various levels, but it's all because they've been firing competence and hiring incompetence since the first "democratic" elections in 1994.

We are already seeing the results of diversity hiring practices. It's really obvious (for me)in software. It's all gone to shit, is barely maintained, bugs never get fixed anymore, and it's all being endlessly copied from other's work, and as such, it's all failing in the same stupid ways.

And that's not even getting into the management of all this shit. Software companies always go to shit when the original White men who made them sell out to corporations. Which, I get it, sell the damned thing and get rich, buy your land, find your women, and fuck off from a crumbling society. It just sucks for the rest of us who have to deal the the rampant destruction of something once good.

Took on an old solution and my fucking God.

Spelling mistakes. Copy pasted code hacked for a new purpose.

Massive bugs. Gross incompetence.

Working with a small team of good devs to rectify years of abuse to the code base.
