Meyer’s anonymous post on the “Politically Incorrect” board of 4chan threatened to kill Sheriff Chitwood, stating “It’s too bad Mike Chitwood isn’t safe now that I’m planning to kill him. I’m going to shoot Mike Chitwood. I’m going to kill him by shooting him to death.”

How do we know it's real. How do we know it's not the police agencies making the threats in order to get funds sent their way and to get backing for taking away freedom of speech and freedom of the press by not allowing the flyers.

I read that one, sorry. I was talking about the other guy the extradited from NJ. My understanding was that it was less direct.

That said, people were saying that on Twitter about Trump for years, with likes and shares and all of it. Still seems pretty bitchsauce by Chitwood.

Exactly. When you specifically identify someone by name and explicitly state what you will do to them, then that's the definition of a death threat. Ambiguities don't count though. Something like, "I'll kill any sheriff who defends jews," isn't specific, so it doesn't count.

Does not matter. He is still rotting in a Florida county jail. I have been told the other guy that was arrested alluded that somebody should kill him, he did not make a direct threat.
